I wrote this piece in the summer of 2017 to be performed for an indoor marching percussion competition, with the 3-minute time limit in mind, as well as the timbre of synthetic budget marimbas used in many marching environments (as shown in the video). Aimed at high intermediate-level players with proficiency in double laterals as well as mallet independence.
