I purchased sheet music but I haven’t received it yet. What should I do?
I send out all my PDFs manually and personally to the email address as listed on PayPal, so please be patient! I usually send them out within 24-48 hours of payment. Sometimes they end up in the spam folder, so be sure to check that too, first. If 48 hours has passed, or if you would like me to send the music to an email address that is different from the one listed on PayPal, please contact me.
Do you offer lessons?
Yes! I am more than happy to do both in-person (NYC) and online lessons or consultations, whether you are working on one of my pieces, other repertoire, or just simply want an extra set of ears on something else. More information about regular lessons can be found here.
Am I allowed to perform your pieces for competitions?
Can I get hard copies/make copies for the judges?
Absolutely! In compliance with copyright law, as well as the guidelines for competitions, all performers must have purchased and obtained and the music legally. Many competitions ask for hard copies, or permission to photocopy. I am more than happy to write a letter for permission to photocopy- please contact me directly with details about the competition. If you absolutely need hard copies, I am able to send them out on a case-by-case basis for an additional fee; however, usually the letter is sufficient.
Can I put your piece on my recital/concert?
Absolutely! Purchasing the piece also gives you the right to perform. My works are registered with ASCAP, and if you do decide to program one of my works, please send me a copy of the program! I would love to have it.
Am I allowed to arrange/adapt one of your pieces for my show this year? (Marching band, indoor percussion, drum corps, etc.)
Yes! This is possible. In order to make an arrangement, you must first obtain a license to arrange, as required by law and most competitions. License agreements are specific to one licensee (performing group), for a limited period (typically one season). These will be outlined within the license, and may not be reused by other performers or for other performance periods outside the scope of the license. Please contact me with the following information:
- Name of organization/ensemble:
- Mailing address and phone number of organization:
- Contact name/title:
- Arranger name and contact:
- Approximate size of ensemble:
- Duration of season (dates):
- Approximate section of the piece to be used in the show:
I will get back to you with a quote, then invoice and license agreement.
Do you accept commission requests?
Only on a very limited basis at the moment due to time constraints, I’m hoping to be able to accept more in the future. Please contact me to discuss specific a commission requests.
